Salonica by night : Part one

As promised,the first part of our Vampire:the Requiem Chronicle is here...Enjoy!

"It was a colourful autumn sunset in Thessaloniki.The first welcoming party for the newly arrived university students was just getting started.Long time friends Niko,Harry and Peter were walking through the university campus,slowly making their way to the engineering faculty.The sun had set just minutes ago,and the guys decided to continue their stroll a little longer...Walking on the green grass surrounding the Library building,little did they know,their lives were going to change just a few steps away...

"I'm telling you it's over! What,you'd think I 'd just sit there and watch you kissing her? Fuck you! We're through!"...Anna's yells could be heard from the next block.It was not a good way to celebrate her boyfriend's birthday...For her however,the trash can sounded like a good place to land his present right now.A few moments later,with her tear-ducts taking a break,cell-phone in hand she calls her long time friend Joan.
"Hey Anna! What's up dear? I'm just heading to the Uni,for the party you know! Lots of pretty single boys,you know what i mean.But why am i telling you this, miss married-to mister-perfect?"
"It's over Joan.We just broke up.For real this time,I think"
"Dearest mother of god,how did this happen? Listen,don't do anything stupid okay? Where are you anyway?Can you come to the Uni now!"
"I'm near home.I'll come.We'll meet at the Library .I'll give you the whole story there k?In 15 minutes.

"Come on man,just 50 cents.Please! I need it!"
"Ignore him he's just a junkie Harry.Keep up your pace"...the guys kept walking on the grass through the campus.The junkie was keeping up with them,pestering them with his demand for a couple cents.
"He sure walks faster than normal junkies" Harry added,biting his lip.Passing just by the star observatory, two more men made their appearance.The one was a very tall muscular guy,dressed with a leather jacket and wearing sunglasses,despite the apparent lack of heat and sun...The other was a young man,dressed very elegantly,with a costume and black polished shoes.Crossing his arms around his waist he smiled towards the junkie.

"Damn you Alex!You actually are good at something! I guess I lost the bet to my friend Theodore here."

"You!*Spit* What are you doing here?? This is our territory! Why don't you just leave us alone and go party at your fancy club with your money-drinking bitches of yours aye?"

"Hey there,no reason getting nasty there Alex.I just wanted to see how you "primal" guys fared that's all...After all,I see you have a pretty hefty prey over here,don't you? You wouldn't mind sharing it with your fellow Kindred ,would you? You know,the Philosopher would be really upset if you did..."

"What the fuck are these guys talking about???" Niko whispered.
"Oh you'll find out pretty soon",the junkie added with a smile.
"How did he hear that?",Niko thought. ~~~~
Anna was on time.Joan was waiting for her in the library entrance.
"Don't say nothing dear.We'll discuss what happened later.What you need right now is some booze.Follow me,there are some friends waiting for us."
"But Joan...I don't want to party.I feel really down right now.Can't we just sit down and talk for a while.I really haven't seen you in ages.Where've you been all these past weeks?"
"No time Anna.Time is pressing.Come and I promise we'll talk about everything very very soon,ok? Now,come with me.I really don't like setting others up you know."
"Ok ok.*Sigh*...same stubborn Joan as always."
"Come they are not far away from here"

"Ow,my dear Joan how lovely to see you once again"
"The pleasure is mine Ioanni...I see we are all here.Let me introduce you Anna.She's my friend.Who are your guests?" "Ow they? Forgive me dear,we didn't really have time to introduce.Well,we'll have plenty of time later won't we?"
"Sure we will.Is anybody around ?Can we proceed?"
"It's all checked,my men just made sure we are away from strangers eyes in this little spot."
"Then,what are we waiting for?"
"Ladies first..."
"Sure.My dear Anna,don't be scared.It'll just take a second.."
"What are you talking about Joan? Let my hand go! Joan let my hand go now or I will scream! Joa..............

Faith is not Lost...

It's been some time now,I was pondering on writing a post about the last Faithless album,so here we are! The title doesn't reveal many things as "To all new Arrivals" can be interpreted in many ways.After some listening though,you finally understand that it's all about a baby(probably Sister Bliss's newborn son),who also participates in the recording! Once more Faithless don't hesitate to bring out their political views and criticize war.The hit song "Bombs",is a music masterpiece,with astounding vocals,a groovy beat and most of all,words with great meaning.I reccomend you all see the video clip which is on the official Faithless site www.faithless.co.uk .Maxi Jazz once again lends his unique voice to the songs,and we also see Dido participating in"Last this day".The only song that I personally find does not belong on the album is "spiders,crocodiles and cryptonite".The rest of the songs convey a very cosy feeling.From "Nate's tune" which is in fact like a children's toy tune to "Emergency"
which is more of a classic Faithless song,everything adds to making this album a future classic.A definite reccomendation to anyone out there searching for some music to get his mind off everything.

Children of the night

A modern-day fantasy role-playing game, Vampire the Requiem has recently become my favourite way of spending cold Friday nights.Unlike most roleplaying games where you get to play a fictional character,wizard or knight,Vampire gives you the opportunity to actually play yourself in your city in our day and age.It's as if something went really strange and your life got a sudden twist.And you have to find a way to live with it.What do you do? Simply gather 3 or 4 of your friends,lower the lights,light up a candle or two and find some dark music to make the perfect mood.Next,forget the world you live in.For the next few hours your StoryTeller(ST for short) will be your eyes and ears in this twisted reality...
